Frank JamesMenillo was born on February 19th, 1926 the son of Italian immigrants, Josephina and Saverio who came to America to find hope and opportunity.  He died on Memorial Day, 2017 at the age of 91- befitting a WWII veteran.

Frank, Frankie, Cheech, Frankie Marlo …however you knew him, was a man of many talents.  His beautiful voice filled the room at every family event with renditions of “My Way” and “All of Me”.   In the church he loved, Our Lady of The Assumption,he graced us with “Ave Maria” and “The Lord’s Prayer”.  His nimble fingers created architectural renderings for some of the most advanced hospitals in our region, as well as designed the reconstruction of so many of our family homes.

But whether architect, or singer, Frank’s greatest gift was his love for his family.  He married Paulina in 1951 and began a 66 year journey with 4 children and 7 grandchildren to carry on his legacy.  Frank believed that education was the key to success and while unable to attend college due to a tour in WWII, he made certain that his children had every opportunity to attend the best schools and to achieve their highest goals.  If you were to sum Frank up into one word, it would be “fighter”. Frank believed nothing should get you down.  He believed every challenge he faced was a test of faith and spirit.

Frank drew strength from the people around him, especially his family.  He felt like the luckiest man on earth being married to the love of his life and surrounded by family.  He leaves behind his wife Paulina, his children Steven and Alice, Gregory and Kate, Karen and Francine; his grandchildren, Gregory& Amelia, Daniella, Nicholas& Jeanette, Joanna, Alexandra, Nicole and Victoria; his siblings, Bob, Ann, Gloria; his nieces and nephews whom he treated like his children, and his many dear friends. He was predeceased by his beloved son-in-law Doug and his loving sister Joan.
